Purpose and Limits

This is a private reference website. It is not part of a sheriff’s office, jail, court, police department, or state corrections agency. It does not keep official arrest or custody records. Site operators cannot verify whether someone is detained, arrange a release, accept a bond payment, file a court form, change an agency record, or provide an official document.

Links and explanatory material help visitors find Sangamon County and Illinois public-record resources. Some pages also connect visitors with outside research services. Those links do not turn the site into the record custodian or make an outside result an official county record.

Acceptable Use Rules

Access is permitted only when it is lawful and does not harm people, systems, or other visitors. By using the site, you agree that you will not:

• Use any part of the site while violating a federal, state, or local law.
• Use information to stalk, threaten, intimidate, or harass another person.
• Base employment, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on site content.
• Try to enter accounts, servers, data, or restricted areas without authorization.
• Operate automated bots, crawlers, or scrapers against the site.

No Consumer Reports

Sangamon County Recent Arrests is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not supply background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports. Its advertising and search partners do not provide screening services through this site. You agree not to use information found here for any purpose regulated by the FCRA, including:

• Deciding whether to hire, retain, discipline, or dismiss a worker.
• Evaluating a tenant, lease applicant, or housing request.
• Setting creditworthiness, loan terms, or an insurance premium.
• Determining eligibility for a license, permit, or government benefit.
• Making any other decision governed by the FCRA.

Outside Websites

Links may lead to jail rosters, booking resources, sheriff and corrections pages, court portals, legal-aid material, or independent search services. These websites set their own rules and privacy practices. Sangamon County Recent Arrests does not control their content, data collection, accuracy, availability, or security. Review an outside provider’s terms before submitting information or using its service. A link does not amount to an endorsement.

Service Without Warranties

The site and all material available through it are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, no express or implied warranty is made regarding:

• The accuracy, completeness, or current state of any information.
• Continuous or uninterrupted access to the site.
• The absence of errors, defects, harmful code, or security weaknesses.

Custody status, booking records, court dockets, office hours, and government publication systems can change quickly. Nothing displayed here is an official statement from the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office or any other government agency. Verify material with the office that created it.

Liability Limits
